BRUNSWICK
Over the course of the next several months, Pejepscot Historical Society will be conducting a survey to help the organization better understand how it is viewed in the community and how it can strengthen its work to preserve and present regional history.
Larissa Vigue Picard, PHS executive director, explained that this is the first time in PHS’s recent history that a formal survey like this has been undertaken. “We feel it is important to hear from community members as to their understanding of PHS’s programs and services, and what they would like to see from us in the future in terms of our museums, activities, and exhibitions. This survey is an important step in our continuing efforts to better serve the needs of the community.”
Survey forms are located at both PHS properties: the Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum at 226 Maine Street, and at the organization’s main location at 159 Park Row. In addition, the surveys are available at the following locations:
• Brunswick: Town Office (85 Union Street), Curtis Memorial Library (23 Pleasant Street), Visitor Center (16 Station Avenue)
• Topsham: Town Office (100 Main Street), Topsham Public Library (25 Foreside Road)
• Harpswell: Town Office ( 263 Mountain Road), Cundy’s Harbor Library (935 Cundy’s Harbor Road), Orr’s Island Library (1699 Harpswell Islands Road)
For those who wish to complete the survey online, please visit www.surveymonkey.com/r/Pejepscot.
“We hope that there will be an enthusiastic response,” said Vigue Picard. “ It’s extremely important to our efforts to hear from the community at large, our permanent and summer residents, and our visitors.”
PHS will also be reaching out to people on Facebook and Twitter. Surveys will be conducted throughout the summer.
