Nolanville, TX — Virginia Cheryl Jenec Main, 67, of Nolanville, TX, formally of Bath, passed away Friday July 14, 2017 at her home after a long illness.

She was born in Takoma Park, MD on March 27, 1950, the daughter of Eugene M. and Virginia Fitzgerald Sheerer. In the summer of 1967 her family moved to Bath, where she attended Morse High School and graduated in 1968. She stayed in Bath, where she raised her family, until 2002 when she moved to Texas with her husband Gary Main. There she and Gary made a new home with their pups Snuggles and Red.

Over the years Cheryl had many different jobs from making purses and hand bags, to making children’s clothes at Healthtex, to office manager jobs at Woodex Bearing Company in Georgetown and Killeen Memorial Park in Killeen Texas.

Cheryl enjoyed crocheting everything from sweaters to doilies, playing BINGO, taking trips to Las Vegas, traveling around Texas, playing games on her IPad with people all over the world and talking to her grandsons on the telephone.

She is survived by her husband, her daughters Marion Cressey and her husband Paul of Woolwich, and Karen Hanson and her husband Johnnie of Woolwich; her step sons Gary Main and his longtime companion Jeanie of Boothbay, and Harold Main of Warren; her step daughters Tracey Mazzei of Tampa, FL and Heidi Cunningham of Berwick; her grandsons Wyatt Jenec of Bath, Trevor Patterson, Jacob Cressey and Jarred Patterson all of Woolwich; her step granddaughters Mikayla Main of Boothbay and Sarah Hanson and Margaret Hanson both of Woolwich, her brother Terry Sheerer and his wife Debbie of Brunswick, her sisters Carol Sheerer and Cathy Allen both of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private celebration of Cheryl’s life at a later date.
