Kenneth Edward Berry, 74, of Merrimack, N.H., husband of Janice E. (Nutting) Berry, passed away at his home on Wednesday evening, July 19, 2017, in the company of his caring and loving family, after a period of declining health.

A resident of Merrimack for many years, he was born in Bath, Maine on Dec. 22, 1942, son of the late Edward Merle and Marguerite (Parsons) Berry.

Ken was a high school graduate of Brunswick High School, Class of 1961. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the 1960s.

Ken was the founder and owner of Builders Insulation Company, Inc. and operated it for many years. He was also a member of Home Builders Association and many other social clubs.

In his leisure time, Ken enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid sportsman, who traveled on many hunting trips throughout the world. Ken will always be remembered for his favorite saying “See you in the spring. Keep your powder dry!”

Members of his family include his wife Janice, whom he married on May 10, 1969; his children and their spouses, Jennifer and Richard Ostrom of Merrimack, Andrew Berry and Kathleen Foley; his grandchildren, Griffin Ostrom, Preston Ostrom and Lucas Edward Berry; his sister and brother in-law, Marguerite B. and Kenneth M. Tyler of Palm Bay, Fla.; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held at the Farwell

Funeral Home, 18 Lock St., Nashua, NH on Wednesday, July 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. His funeral service will be held in the First Baptist Church, 121 Manchester St., Nashua, on Thursday morning, July 27 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (www.michaeljfox.org) in his honor.
