
He was a machine operator at BIW for over 30 years. Norm retired and spent his days enjoying the company of his dog George, watching races, camping with family and enjoying road trips.
Norman is predeceased by his parents Roland and Juliet Carlton and brother Ronald Carlton.
He is survived by his brother Larry Carlton and his sister in-law Brenda; eight children,
Mike Carlton, Donny Carlton and wife Cathy, Danny Carlton, Tammie Varnum and partner James, Terri Adams and husband Allen, Lisa MacNeil and husband Joel, Robert Varnum and wife Amber and Brandon and wife NaToni; many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 20, 2017, at noon with a gathering following at his home 36 Fosters Pt. Road, West Bath, Maine.
