SOUTH PARIS — The Brunswick Junior High School seventh-grade girls soccer team opened its season with a 6-1 victory over Oxford Hills on Monday.
Sophia Morin had a hat trick for the Huskies (1-0), while Kelsey Carlton had two goals and Cora Slocum one. Hannah Lay picked up an assist.
Brunswick was paced on defense by Ella Gustafson and Lay. Mia Desantis made two saves, including stopping a penalty kick, for the win.
