McTeague Higbee, a law firm dedicated to protecting the rights of Maine’s working people, recently announced that partners Jeffery Cohen and Karen Bilodeau, and Kevin Noonan, managing partner, have been named to the Best Lawyers in America roster for 2018.

Attorneys Bilodeau and Noonan were recognized in the field of workers’ compensation, while Cohen was recognized for workers’ compensation and personal injury.

The honor, which is based on peer review, recognizes them for the quality of the representation provided and the results achieved for their clients.

In other news, Bilodeau has been named to the board of directors of the Workers’ Injury & Advocacy Group. The appointment recognizes Bilodeau’s years of experience fighting for the rights of people who have been injured on the job.

A cum laude graduate of the University of Maine Law School, she has experience not only in workers’ compensation but also in personal injury cases.

“I’m honored to have been voted onto the board of WILG,” said Bilodeau. “Not only will this help me be a stronger ally to my clients in Maine, it gives me the opportunity to be more involved with policies and initiatives that impact the lives of working people across the country.”
