LYMAN — Time is growing short for absentee voting in Lyman for this year’s election.
Ballots for absentee voting are now available for Lyman residents at the Lyman Town Hall.
Absentee voting continues through Election Day on Nov. 7 and voters may request absentee ballots at the Lyman Town Clerk’s Office during normal business hours or by phone at 247-0643.
Electronic absentee voting requests are available online at http://www.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/AbsenteeBallot/index.pl
The town’s registrar of voters will be available on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Wednesdays from noon to 7 p.m. through Election Day to register new voters and correct the voting list.
The registrar also will be available at the town hall from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.
To register to vote, residents are asked to bring identifcation and proof of residency.
The final day to cast an absentee ballot is Nov. 2 unless special circumstances exist. There will be no absentee voting on Friday, Nov. 3 or Monday, Nov. 6.
The Lyman Town Hall is at 11 South Waterboro Road in Lyman.
