AUBURN — Mary Louise Bartlett, 84, passed away November 10, 2017, at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, Maine. Mary was a longtime resident of Monmouth, Maine. Mary was born September 29, 1933, in Keene, New Hampshire, the daughter of Winthrop R. Lewis and Mary Anna Rudolf.

She was the loving wife of Gerald E. Bartlett, USN, who passed away shortly after their 61st wedding anniversary in 2013. They were married July 19, 1952.

Mary and Gerry raised four children while Gerry served his country in the United States Navy. She endured long deployments when Gerry was overseas. After Gerry retired from military service they lived in Brunswick, Maine, Mesa, Arizona, and finally Monmouth, Maine, next door to their son, David.

Mary enjoyed many happy times with family and friends. She was an avid reader and great cook. She enjoyed traveling and musical theater.

Mary is survived by her son David and his wife, MaryAnn of Monmouth, daughter, Diane Rector and her husband Richard, of Brunswick, son, Darrell and his wife Theanna, of West Gardiner, daughter, Debra, passed away in 1999. Grandchildren include Heather Bartlett Adams of Scarborough, Thomas Kennett, of Florida, Eric Rector, of Brunswick. Grandson, Shaun Bartlett, passed away in May 2017. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren. She is the sister of Emily Lewis Nelson of Hillsboro, New Hampshire, Winthrop Lewis of Keene, New Hampshire, and Raymond Lewis of Vero Beach, Florida.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, a brother Robert, daughter Debra, husband Gerry, and grandson Shaun.

The family wishes to express great appreciation to the medical team of Central Maine Medical Center and Androscoggin House Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Bragdon Finley Funeral Home, 707 Main St., Monmouth, Maine. Interment at a later date at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 980 Turner Street, Auburn, Maine.
