Open Gym

Takes place on Sundays at Mt. Ararat High School through the end of March. Patrons are asked to enter through the back side entrance of the gymnasium.

Open Gym is available for SAD-75 residents only at a cost of $1 per person.

Family Open Gym runs from 2-4 p.m. Children under the fifth grade must be accompanied by an adult.

Adult only Open Gym will be held from 4-6 p.m.

Little Dribblers hoops

This program is for children in grades 1-2.

Run by Mt. Ararat High School girls basketball coach Andy Morris and his Eagles, this six-week program will be held on Saturday mornings and introduces the fundamentals of basketball through games, skills and small-sided scrimmages.

The cost is $35 for anyone in the SAD-75 area.

Deadline to register is Dec. 14. After that date, a $10 late fee will be charged, and participants will be placed on a space-available basis.

The program begins Jan. 6.

Elks Foul Shooting

This contest will be held at Mt. Ararat Middle School on Dec. 27 at 10 a.m.

Boys and girls ages 8-13 as of April 1, 2018 are invited to participate.

The Topsham Rec., along with the Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department will hold the annual event, in conjunction with the Brunswick Lodge B.P.O. Elks Club No. 2043.

Youth wrestling

Mt. Ararat High School coaches will run this fun-filled, skill-building program for youth ages 4 to first grade (SAD-75 only).

This program begins Jan. 8 and runs for 10 weeks from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The cost is $20, and participants are asked to wear proper attire.

Also, a program for wrestlers in grades 2-5 will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for 10 weeks, beginning on Jan. 8.

The cost is $45 for SAD-75 residents.
