BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School girls “Black” and “Orange” jayvee basketball teams both earned wins on Tuesday.

The “Black” squad picked up a 66-32 victory over Gardiner. Kendall Dow scored 22 points to lead the Dragon offense. Chloe Coombs hit three 3-point field goals and Riley Turgeon added 11 points to go along with Adria Doane’s 10 points and Emily Cloutier’s nine points in a balanced team scoring performance.

Maddie Farnham scored 12 points and Hannah Marshall added 10 points to lead Gardiner’s offense.

After a tight first quarter that saw Brunswick on top 14-11, the Dragons pulled away in the second, outscoring the Tigers, 21-6, for a 35- 17 halftime lead.

In the “Orange” contest, the Dragons held on for a 58- 54 win over Lewiston.

Adria Doane and Tanisha McKenzie combined to score 31 points for the Dragons, with Doane grabbing 14 rebounds.

Trailing 34-21 at the half, Lewiston rallied in the second, using three shots from beyond the arc to close to 44- 41 after three.

Maggie Folsom added 11 points in support of Brunswick’s offensive effort.

On Wednesday, three different players scored double-digit points as Brunswick “Black” sailed to a 53-23 win over Morse.

Dow led all scorers with 16 points. Doane registered 15 points while Cloutier added 14 in the win.

Morse was paced by Hannah Bailey’s eight points. Kayley Garland and Mary LaRochelle had five and four points, respectively.
