WALDOBORO — Medomak Valley used a strong second quarter to take charge in earning a 45-25 victory over Morse in jayvee high school girls basketball action on Tuesday.
The Shipbuilders (1-3) trailed 14-12 after a quarter, but fell into a deeper hole, 29-19, by halftime.
The Panthers held Morse scoreless in the fourth quarter.
Talia Willis led the win with 13 points, followed by eight from Cheyenne Nash.
Abby Sreden paced Morse with seven points. Abby Carpenter picked up six, Julia Goddard five and Brook Kulis three.
At the free-throw line, Morse was 2-of-4 and Medomak 6-of-12.
The Shipbuilders host Freeport on Friday.
