BIDDEFORD — Alice Goulet, 91, of Biddeford died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

She was born on July 7, 1926 to Lazare and Rose (Turmel) Daigle in Rumford. She graduated from Mexico, Maine schools.

On Sept. 28, 1946, she married Theodore Goulet at St. Therese Church in Mexico. They shared almost 50 years together until his death on March 31, 1996.

She began working at Pepperell Manufacturing and was there for four years. In 1961 she started at John Roberts and was a presser there for 30 years. During that time she also worked part time at Hurrell’s Variety. In 1989 she started at Paul’s Variety as a cashier. She belonged to the American Legion Axillary, Unit 26.

Alice is survived by her son Andre J. Goulet and his wife Micheline of Biddeford; two grandchildren Vicki Pineau of Biddeford and Kevin Goulet and his wife Andrea of Charlotte, North Carolina; a brother Maurice Daigle of Rumford; a sister Anita Daigle of Biddeford; and two great-grandchildren Alexander and Xavier.

There will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. Burial will be in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta at a later date.
