LEWISTON — The Wells track and field team competed in the Class B state championship on Monday, and a handful of athletes finished their seasons off strong.
Below are some of the final results:
BOYS
Brian Niznik took home fourth place in the 400 meter dash, as well as ninth in the 200. Tyler Carpenter also took ninth in the 400.
The 800 meter relay team of Niznik, Carpenter, Noah Boucher and Charlie Clough finished in ninth place.
The boys team finished in 18th place overall.
GIRLS
Chenille Eccleston finished fourth in the 55 meter dash and fifth in the long jump.
Madison Szczygiel later placed seventh in the 400 dash while Alaina Justice took home 10th in the high jump.
The girls side finished 19th overall.
