RUMFORD — Robert Lee Moore, 56, of Prospect Avenue in Rumford passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday March 3, 2018.

He was born in Taylor County, Texas a son of Arthur T. and Donna Lee (Pero) Moore.

Robert was educated in Bath Maine Schools and was a graduate of Morse High School Class of 1979, and he served as Class Valedictorian.

He served his country in the US Army.

Robert was employed as a chef at Cook’s Lobster House and Sebasco Estates.

He enjoyed working with Leather making handbags and coats, and he did leather repair.

Robert loved panning for gold, fishing and daily visits to Judy’s Variety and the Big Apple. He also enjoyed clam digging in Phippsburg for several years.

In 2002, he met the love of his life Jane, the highlight of the time together was their trip over the road to Boise Idaho, where they saw many interesting things and met many new people.

Robert will be remembered for his contagious laugh and the twinkle in his eyes.

Jane Tondreau of Rumford; his mother, Donna Lee Moore and husband Ron of Washington, ME; his father Arthur T. Moore and wife Peggy of Phippsburg, ME; brothers, Arthur Moore and wife Lynn of Woolwich, Arthur “T” Moore of Brunswick, and Jeffrey Moore of West Bath; and a sister, Shelly Berry of Old Orchard Beach, ME.

He was predeceased by a niece Nadean Jo Moore.
