Brunswick — On March 25, the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust welcomes Will Bonsall, founding director of the Scatterseed Project and author of the popular “Will Bonsall’s Guide to Radical, Self-Reliant Gardening,” to their final Winter Garden Workshop of the season, Growing More Crops in Less Space, from 2-4 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church in Brunswick. Bonsall will consider how to conserve fertility, water and labor in the garden.
“We are so delighted to have Will Bonsall coming to present to our gardening community,” said Nikkilee Cataldo, the Land Trust’s Director of Programs. “Will is, for good reason, renowned both here in Maine and across the globe. For decades he has been experimenting in the field and deeply contemplating some of the most challenging questions of land-based sustainability. This workshop is an opportunity for people to engage with his humble-Mainer practicality as well as his inspiring vision.”
This workshop with Bonsall is a fundraiser for the Land Trust’s Tom Settlemire Community Garden. This event is appropriate for all ages and levels of experience, according to the land trust. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit btlt.org/event-registration or call (207)751-4717.
