SACO — Anita T. Ifantides, 84, of Saco, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born in Saco on March 12, 1934, a daughter of Vangel and Julia (Thomas) Tito. She was a graduate of Thornton Academy.

Anita was employed by their family owned and operated businesses, Central Pharmacy in Biddeford and by Colonial Pharmacy in Kennebunkport.

Anita had strong faith and was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Saco. She was a member and past president of Daughters of Penelope, past member of St. Fortini Society and a volunteer for the church youth group as an advisor. She also donated lots of her time for the American Cancer Society, a cause she felt strongly about, and the York County Parents Awareness, a group dedicated to education and family awareness of children with disabilities.

She was predeceased by four brothers Kostag, Stephen, Benny and James Tito.

She is survived by: her husband of 45 years, Vassilis (Bill) Ifantides; one son, Anthony Ifantides; and one daughter, Dr. Melissa Ifantides and her husband, Timothy Libby Jr. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Julia Libby and William Libby, nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. with the Trisagion Prayer Service at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Saco. Burial will follow in St. Demetrios Cemetery in Biddeford.
