BIDDEFORD — Gerald P. St. Louis, 90, of Biddeford, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough. 

He was born May 1, 1927 in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of Arthur and Blanche (Bolduc) St. Louis.  Coming to Maine as a child, he attended Biddeford schools.

Gerald served in the Army during World War II.  On Oct. 2, 1948 he married Jeannette Turgeon at St. Mary’s Church in Biddeford.

He was employed for 18 years with Saco-Lowell Shops, five years with Allied and Westland Shoe, five years with Precision Screw, nine years with Phil Spang Lumber, and last worked with the Maine Turnpike Authority as a toll collector from 1985 until retiring in 1995.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Jeannette St. Louis of Biddeford; two sons, Joey St. Louis of Revere, Massachusetts and Jamie St. Louis and his wife Lisa and their daughters, Nicole and Charlotte of Biddeford.

Visiting Hours will be Monday, April 30, 2018 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
