The Source section in the Maine Sunday Telegram is such a gem. It is a vital contribution to the agricultural and rich nature of this remarkable state. I find the articles to be insightful, informative and inspiring as we work to understand how to care for and use our land appropriately.
The recent feature on CR Lawn (April 29), founder and visionary of Fedco Seeds and an integral contributor to the growth of the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, helped me understand why these two organizations are so important to making Maine the unique community it has become.
In the same edition, I found Marina Schauffler’s Sea Change column on the use of good mulch both comprehensive and instructive for those of us who want to take care of our gardens and orchards in a proper and sustainable manner.
