SANFORD — The visiting Wells girls lacrosse team jumped out to a 6-goal halftime lead and would hold on for a 14-8 win over Sanford on Monday.
Kristina Moody led Wells with five goals and one assist. Jade Petrie added three goals and Nora Stevens, Kylie Belanger, Leah Tufts, Abby Durost, Franny Ramsdell and Rhianna McQuates all had one goal.

Sanford was led by Valentina Drown with three goals. Lauren Lapierre, Kaylee Frey, Catherine Works, Tiffany Twombley and Maya Joy all scored once for the Spartans.
Dominique Gable had 12 saves for Sanford.

Baseball

Kennebunk 4, Noble 3 (8 innings)
The host Rams picked up the win when Ryan Connor was hit by a pitch and scored on a sacrifice fly from Nick Teguis in the bottom of the eighth on Monday.
Chris Grady earned the win on the mound for the Rams as he went the distance and struck out six.
Kennebunk scored three unearned runs in the fifth inning to take a 3-2 lead. Bryce Cantin tied things up for Noble with an RBI double in the sixth.

Old Orchard Beach 13, Waynflete 3 (5 innings)

The Seagulls would score all 13 runs in the second inning and then held on from there on Monday.
Ryun Hogan had a double and single in the big inning for OOB, which also got doubles from Chandler Payea and Kyle Allen in the frame.
Hogan was 2-for-2 at the plate with three RBIs, while Mark Johnston, Payea and Allen all had one hit and two RBIs in the win.

Wells 5, Greely 0

Tyler Carpenter surrendered a single to start the game on Monday, but the Wells pitcher would settle down and didn’t allow another hit.
The Warriors scored four times in the first inning, including Carpenter helping himself with a two-run single.
Mike Wrigley added a solo home run in the fifth for the Warriors, who are now 11-1 on the season.

Softball

Greely 2, Wells 1 (9 innings)
Kelsey Currier doubled and scored on a groundout in the top of the ninth to help Greely pick up the win on Monday.
Wells would threaten in the bottom of the ninth, but the tying run was thrown out at home to end the game.
Sam Bogue, Mackenzie Foss and Anya Chase all had multiple hits for Wells. Bogue drove in the lone run for the Warriors in the sixth.

Scarborough 14, Biddeford 0 (5 innings)

The Tigers were outhit 12-3 on Monday as the Red Storm improved to 14-0 on the season.
Sam Carreiro and Lindsey Kelley each had two hits and three RBIs for Scarborough.
Brook Davis had two hits for the Tigers, who dropped to 6-8.

Massabesic 17, Maine Girls’ Academy/Falmouth 3

The Mustangs would get a homer and three RBIs from Lacey Bean on Monday as they cruised to the win.
Grace Tutt added three hits, including a home run, and two RBI for Massabesic, which also got three hits and three RBIs from Lauren Kiss.
Massabesic, which had 18 total hits, would get a complete-game effort from Cayleigh Morris, who struck out 12 and allowed just five hits.

Boys Tennis

Kennebunk/Wells 4, Scarborough 1

Declan Archer and Dan Behrans won singles matches to help the Rams cruise to the win.
Kennebunk/Wells’ Keegan Donaher and Logan Strauss won at first doubles, while Tom Zub and Jack Gurski were victorious at second doubles.

Girls Tennis

Scarborough 3, Kennebunk/Wells 2
Rosemary Campanella and Grace Campanella picked up singles wins for Kennebunk/Wells on Monday, but the rest of the matches would go to Scarborough.
