The Westbrook American reported on May 28, 1958, that Fred Oleson of West Pleasant Street, Westbrook, returned home after celebrating his 96th birthday while visiting relatives in Massachusetts.

Douglas E. Parker of Mosher Road in Gorham operated a TV and radio repair service adjacent to his home. A feature article said he also repaired car radios and phonographs.
