Penobscot County authorities are investigating an armed robbery that took place Sunday afternoon at a Milford store.
Chief Deputy William R. Birch of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office in a statement that a man entered the County Road Store, 81 County Road, Milford around 2 p.m., flashed a handgun at the store clerk, and demanded cash.
None of the clerks at the store were injured, but the robber fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, running in the direction of the Henderson Lane subdivision.
Anyone who saw a man coming from behind the store and walking through the subdivision wearing sweatpants is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 945-4636. Maine State Police and Old Town police are assisting the sheriff’s office.
