Did Old Man Winter leave this footprint on the city, or using a Maxwell Smart catch phrase from the old TV comedy “Get Smart,” would you believe, Bigfoot? Tom Robinson, financial services representative at TD Bank in Westbrook, discovered this big, shoe-shaped pothole behind the municipal lot between TD Bank and Bank of America near the river. “First, we had Wessie, then the ice disk,” Robinson said in an email to the American Journal “It looks like the footprint (or more correctly, shoeprint) of Bigfoot.”
Highland Lake Grange Master Dave Gowen, left, presents Westbrook’s Deputy Fire Chief Gary Caron with the Grange’s 2019 Community Service Award at a May 9 ceremony.
