PORTLAND — The city is urging drivers to find alternate routes around a continuing sewer project at Forest Avenue, Bedford Street and Baxter Boulevard.

The Portland Water District’s Bedford Street sewer separation and water main replacement project, which began June 11, involves the repair of utility trenches within that intersection.

According to the city, lane reductions at the intersection will occur nightly between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. before the project wraps up next week. The contractor will have all lanes of traffic opened back up by 7 a.m. each morning.

Traffic and project updates can be found on the city’s website at http://bit.ly/2wNYWWL.
