NAPLES – Leon W. “Lee” Frank, 72, of Naples, died early Tuesday evening, Feb. 2, 2021 at his home in Naples.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1948, in Casco, a son of Leon R. and Edith J. (Eggert) Frank. Lee attended local schools, graduating from Casco High School.
On Mar. 18, 1967, he married Jeanette Tenney in Casco. Shortly thereafter, Lee enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and began a 23-year career as a flight line mechanic which included his being stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War.
Lee and his family were stationed throughout the country upon his return ending with 13 years at the Pease Air Force in 1990.
Upon retirement from the service, Lee and his wife returned to Naples. He took a job with the Postal Service in Portland where he supervised the physical plant maintenance for over 20 years, retiring as a civilian in 2015.
Lee was an exceptional woodworker and in recent years enjoyed cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Naples; children, Belinda L. Casey and her husband Joseph of Rochester, N.H., Troy A. Frank of Newmarket, N.H., and Chad A. Frank and his wife Michelle of Griffin, Ga.; a sister, Sheila Frank of Florida, a brother, Keith Frank and his wife Windy of Auburn; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents.
A time of memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p,n, on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021 at the Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road in Casco.
