BIDDEFORD — Are you bored this winter with COVD-19 restrictions in place leaving you little to do?

Enter WinterWeek.

Whether you’re 6, 16 or 60 — or older, a number of Biddeford entities have come together to offer some outdoor fun and challenges from Feb. 15 to Feb. 21.

WinterWeek replaces the city’s annual Winterfest which was canceled this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“To get people out of the house, and have some fun, we have created WinterWeek, with a scavenger hunt with prizes and cash,” said Biddeford Mayor Alan Casavant.

The events are accessed through a phone app called Eventzee.

According to Biddeford Recreation, once the app is downloaded, people playing should enter BWW2021 as the game code, using capital letters. Then, anytime during Feb. 15-21, complete the challenges listed.

Not into apps? You can pick up a paper version from the Recreation Department, 189 Alfred St. after Feb. 7, and complete challenges that way.

Those who need a car-only version, or any other accommodation, should contact Biddeford Recreation for accessibility.

Once players complete the 100 points badge, they will be eligible for most of the prizes — which include kids bikes and gifts cards to downtown business. Those who complete the 200 points badge will also be eligible for the $500 cash prize.
