PORTLAND – William J. Wiggins passed away after battling cancer, Friday, Feb. 19, 2021. He was born April 6, 1958, the son of Donald L. Wiggins and June (Erskine) Wiggins. Bill grew up in South Portland where he graduated from South Portland High School. He enjoyed spending many summer days at the family camp in Bridgton. He was an avid outdoors man, fishing, ice fishing, and especially enjoyed hunting. He enjoyed teaching the nieces and nephews along with the neighbor’s grandkids about fishing. He enjoyed the bonfires with the Walker’s every summer. He is predeceased by his father, Donald L. Wiggins. Bill is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda (Wilson) Wiggins; mother June Wiggins; sisters, Prudy and Bonnie Wiggins, and brother Steven and his wife Shirley. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Debbie Wilson and brother-in-law, Linwood Wilson and his wife Lori; five nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and nephews. Due to Covid-19 a memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
