TUCSON, Ariz./KENNEBUNKPORT – Donna Lee Margaret Rounds, 78, passed away peacefully on Feb. 12, 2021 in Tucson, Ariz.

Donna Lee was born May 8, 1942 in Lewiston,

the daughter of Basil and Lorraine Rounds. She spent much of her childhood growing up in Kittery and was a part of the Robert W. Traip Academy graduating class of 1960. Studied at the Carnegie Institute of Medical and X-Ray Technology from 1960-1961 before relocating to Portsmouth, N.H., where she was married and found her passion, becoming a mother to three beautiful children.

Her family of five moved to Kennebunkport in 1970 where they became immersed in the small seaside town. Donna Lee held multiple positions through the years, which included assisting in daily operations at Chick’s Marina, School Nurses Assistant at Kennebunk High School – among a variety of other involvements in the community – always ensuring a schedule that never allowed her to miss an event or milestone with her children.

Donna Lee would relocate back to Kittery years later holding bank teller positions with Kennebunk Savings Bank, First National Bank of Portsmouth, and Federal Services Credit Union before marrying Cosmo DeSantis and retiring to Tucson, Ariz. in 2000.

Once settled, she enjoyed frequent rounds of golf, bingo nights, socializing with friends, cheering on her hometown University of Arizona athletic teams, and spending quality time with her husband and beloved cat, Bingo. She was fond of family visits to Tucson, as well as her own travels for family events and gatherings across the country.

Donna Lee shared great pride in her family’s personal and professional accomplishments and was always consistent for a phone call to her relatives in the Northeast to brag about the warm Arizona weather during the heart of winter – amusing calls and conversations that will be undoubtedly missed.

Donna Lee is predeceased by her parents, Basil and Lorraine Rounds.

Survivors include her husband, Cosmo DeSantis; son, Christopher Rolfe and his wife Mary, daughter, Beth Joyal and her husband Rick, son, William Rolfe and his wife Brenda; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many additional family and friends.

Donna Lee will be buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lewiston alongside her parents and grandparents. There are currently no services planned at this time.
