Joel Lewis Chadys

SCARBOROUGH – Joel Lewis Chadys, 80, of Scarborough, died peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

Joel has lived in Maine for almost 20 years. He graduated from Amherst College and obtained a master’s in physical education from Springfield College. He loved sports and especially the New York Yankees. Joel could tell you anything you wanted to know about sports.

Joel had many jobs over the years. His favorite was working for the Pittsburgh Pirates during the time they won the World Series (1971). He was so proud of his World Series ring.

Joel was predeceased by his niece, Annique Jaeckel. He leaves his sister, Diane Jaeckel of South Portland; and a niece, Ricki Jaeckel of Brooklyn, N.Y.
