INDIALANTIC, Fla. – Mark A. Gray, 61, formerly of Newport, passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2021 at his home in Indialantic, Fla.

He is survived by his husband, Timothy Michaud of Indialantic, Fla., and Millinocket, Maine. Mark was predeceased by his parents, George M. and Leola M. (Dahlgren) Gray of Newport.

Mark graduated from Nokomis Regional High in Newport and went on to earn a degree from Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute in Bangor. Mark held various positions in accounting and administration in businesses in Newport and Portland. He was most recently employed by Omni Healthcare in Melbourne, Fla.

Mark and Tim met in Portland and moved to Indialantic in 1998 where they loved their “life on the beach.” They were constant companions and you rarely saw one of them without the other close by. They worked together and often joked that their desks were so close that they saw each other all the time. They were officially married in 2018.

Mark always looked forward to spending time with his extended family and he and Tim’s annual trips home to Maine. He loved the Michaud Family Reunions in Millinocket, and spending time at camp in Newport where he made sure to get his fair share of lobster, and red hotdogs.

Mark is also survived by his brother Craig and his wife Julie of Scarborough, many brothers and sisters-in-law; cousins; nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Pam Newcomb and her husband Brad of Newport, and Gary Cressey of Scarborough.

A graveside service will be held at a future date.
