Marion (Emmons) Angers

BIDDEFORD – Marion (Emmons) Angers, 81, of Biddeford passed away peacefully at Southern Maine Medical Center surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 16, 2021. She was born in Biddeford in York County on May 9, 1939.

Marion attended Kennebunk High School; she was a fan of fashion and worked at the local Fashion Bug store(s) in the area where she retired in 2006. Marion enjoyed astrology, family trips to Arizona and Hawaii, and photography. She would create wonderful photobooks from her pictures on of the family and their trips together. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her family and her rescue dogs. Marion had numerous loving rescues over the years that she loved equally.

Marion Angers is survived by her husband of 23 years Richard A. Angers of Biddeford and their most recent rescue dog, Rosie; her two sons, Steve (Cheryl) Swangcigar and Dan Swangcigar, and four stepchildren, Jill (Gene) Bokkataub, Heidi (Bill) Hatfield, Walter Mermis, and James. She is also remembered by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marion is also survived by her three siblings, Franklin “Duke” (Elisabeth) Emmons of Kennebunk, Judith (David) Perry also of Kennebunk, and Debbie (Stephen) Bossie of Prescott, Ariz. Hope Memorial Chapel has been trusted in care of the family. Graveside service will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Springvale, Maine.
