Kyle Michael Kipikas

STANDISH – Kyle Michael Kipikas, 35, of Sebago, passed away Monday May 24, 2021 from a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born June 8, 1985 at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital the son of Michael and Kelly (Kimball) Kipikas.

Kyle was a participant of The Gifted and Talented Program throughout Sebago Elementary School and Lake Region Middle School. He graduated with honors from Cheverus High School in 2003. At Cheverus High School he excelled in many of their sports programs including baseball (pitcher), golf (All Conference Award Winner), and basketball. In 2007 he earned a B.S. degree in Biology from Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y.

Kyle loved all the seasons in Maine. He enjoyed snowboarding, skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling in the winter. In the summer he was dirt biking and of course GOLFING where he dominated on the winning team for The Sebago Lions 13th Annual Phil Farrin Charity Golf Tournament.

Kyle was known for his “over the top” sense of humor. He could imitate anyone or anything. Last summer, he attended a Bob Marley event with friends and family. Those sitting near him commented “WOW this kid entertains us as much as Marley!”. He created fun and laughter with all he knew.

Kyle was a wonderful, kind, and loving man. To quote one of the condolences: “I am so so sorry for your loss. Your son was an absolute hero to me. He saved me from one of the hardest situations of my life. I will hold him so close to my heart forever. You truly raised one of the good ones”. We will miss him forever.

Kyle is survived by his mother and father, Kelly and Michael Kipikas; brother, Kendrick Kipikas; grandparents George and Marilyn Kimball; aunt, Jody Kimball; cousin, Shelby Ryley and family; great-aunt and uncle, Bonnie and Joseph Sarno.

A graveside service will be held Friday June 4 at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery, Kansas Road, Bridgton. The location of a celebration of life get together will be announced after the service.
