A new, 35-foot fiberglass flagpole was installed May 28 at South Buxton Cemetery at Tory Hill.

Richard “Sandy” Atkinson, president of the cemetery association, said money for the pole and its installation came from a $5,300 gift from an anonymous donor. A crew from Bailey Sign of Westbrook erected the gift. An American flag was flying from the pole in time for Memorial Day.
