Westbrook Code Enforcement Officer David Finocchietti will retire at the end of March after working with the city for 13 years in numerous roles.

Finocchietti has held that position for four years but has worked in code enforcement for the city for a total of seven years. Before that he worked for the Police Department for six years as an evidence technician and in other roles.

“The administration wishes to express its sincere appreciation for the valuable service David has provided to our community. His knowledge, commitment and demeanor have enabled him to be an outstanding performer in his service to the city,” Mayor Mike Foley said in a Feb. 9 news release.

“The Master Code Enforcement Officer is a critical role for our city and the position will be posted immediately,” Foley said.
