SCARBOROUGH – Sophia G. Dodge, 88, a longtime resident of Portland, passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Maine Veteran’s Home in Scarborough, on Nov. 27, 2021. Sophia retired from GMAC as an auto loan counselor, and served in the U.S. Army with a stint in G2, Army Intelligence. She was predeceased by her husband Emory Jr.; her parents, Ernest Fincher and Sophia (Woods) Fincher; a brother, Ernest Jr. and a sister Harriet. She is survived by her grandsons Jason and Jared Dodge; son, David Dodge and daughter-in-law Michelle Brown Dodge; her nieces, Tierra Fincher, Deborah Adams, and Alison Garrett; numerous god nephews, nieces, and cousins. Interment will be at 1 p.m., on May 25, 2022, at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, Maine, 04330. All are welcome to attend.
