Ryan Martin Kohn

CLOVER, S.C. – Ryan Martin Kohn, 67, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 peacefully at home after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Ryan was born April 2, 1955, in Brazil, Ind. to Vivian and Joel Kohn.

Ryan grew up in Jupiter, Fla., where he graduated from Jupiter High School. He earned degrees from Palm Beach Community College and University of Southern Maine. Ryan was employed with Pratt & Whitney for a total of 41 years starting at the plant in West Palm Beach where he lived with his family in Jupiter. Ryan then transferred to North Berwick, Maine where he lived with his family in Kennebunk for 18 years. The last few years Ryan worked from home after moving to Clover until this May. He enjoyed his job and those he worked with through the years.

Ryan was a member at Ebenezer ARP Church. Ryan was devoted to his wife and children. He enjoyed coaching his children in many different sports. Ryan also refereed basketball for many years for the youth program at Kennebunkport Parks and Rec. Ryan so adored being Papa to his grandchildren. In his spare time, Ryan enjoyed reading, building models and legos.

Ryan was a quiet soul who had a joyous laugh. Ryan shared his faith in the way he lived; especially these last two years with such faith, grace, kindness and compassion for those who cared for him.

Ryan was predeceased by his father, Joel Kohn, his mother, Vivian Kohn; his brother, Terry Kohn. Ryan is survived by his wife of nearly 43 years, Terri; his son, Joshua and wife Jennifer, his daughter, Jennifer Burns and husband Jeffrey; and three precious grandsons, Michael, Brooks, and Sebastian. Ryan is also survived by his brothers, Shannon and wife Stacy, and David; and many niece and nephews.

We, his family, are so grateful for the loving care given to Ryan by all the staff at Novant Health, all his caregivers and especially those at the Weisiger Cancer Institute.

Funeral service will be at Ebenezer ARP Church at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Visitation time with the family will be at 10 a.m. in the parlor of the church. Graveside service to follow at Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetery.
