Norma Schoff Wentworth

SACO – Norma Schoff Wentworth, 83, of Saco, wife of the late William Wentworth, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022.

Born in Graniteville, Vt., the daughter of the late Ray and Winifred (Bumford) Schoff, she was a graduate of Boston University and received her MA from the University of Connecticut. Norma taught in the Windsor Ct. School System before taking a position at the Loranger Middle School in Old Orchard Beach, where she taught for over 30 years before retiring.

Norma an avid reader, artist, and a gourmet cook who extensively traveled the world.

Besides her parents and husband, Norma was predeceased by her brother Edwin Schoff and sisters, Marilyn Marshall, Jean Rennie, Barbara Jones, Betty Bradbury, Rae Goodwin and Joan Waterhouse.

A loving and devoted sister, aunt and friend to many, she is survived by a stepson Mark Wentworth, granddaughter Rachel Wentworth, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Beach St. Saco.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Falmouth By the Sea and Hospice of Southern Maine for their care of Norma and making her so comfortable.
