Beulah Mason

SOUTH PARIS – Beulah Mason, 99, passed away peacefully on Nov. 17, 2022. She was born Aug. 13, 1923, in Stafford, Conn., to Frank and Mary (Winslow) Cram. She graduated from Windham High School and the Chicago School of Nursing. She worked at several local nursing homes and hospitals, Sylvania/GTE in Standish, and Governor Baxter School for the Deaf in Falmouth. She was involved in the Rebekah’s and several area lodges. She volunteered for several committees in Windham. She married George E. Libby on Oct. 31, 1943. They raised their children, George W, Richard, Edith, Darlene, and an adopted grandson, George A. in Windham. She married Weston Mason on Feb. 28, 1992.

She is survived by her sister, Elsie Haskell of Windham, a son, George W. Libby of Troy, N.Y., a daughter, Darlene Ingersoll of Casco, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, George E. Libby, second husband, Weston Mason, five brothers; Meldon, Sumner, Walter, Charles and Herbert, five sisters; Zodelle, Bertha, Edith, Esther and Priscilla, a daughter, Edith Morris, two sons; Robert and Richard, and two grandsons; George A. and Richard Libby Jr.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Maine Veterans Home in South Paris.

There will be a celebration of life and burial in the spring. Burial will be at Smith Cemetery in Windham.
