Peter J. Morin

WATERBORO – Beloved husband and father, Peter J. Morin, 58, of Golden Lane, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3 2022 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice after a brief illness, with his wife and daughters by his side holding him. Peter was born in Bangor on Oct. 9, 1964, the son of Joseph and Mary Walker Morin.

Peter graduated from Messalonskee High School. He attended the University of Maine at Orono and Farmington and earned degrees in business and science. Peter also served in the U.S. Army with honors.

He taught AP science classes in high school, and later worked for 18 years as a microbiologist/biochemist for Poland Spring water plant in Hollis.

Peter enjoyed working on his Jeep, landscaping, and renovating his home with his wife, Pauline.

He and Pauline also loved to rescue various animals – their favorite being rats – and loved to feed and watch the wildlife in their yard.

Peter is survived by his wife of 16 years, Pauline Morin of Waterboro; his mother, Mary of Bangor; two daughters, Justine Boss of Austin, Texas and her fiancé, Dr. Satish Rajaram, and Kristen Boss of Bremerton, Wash.; and two brothers, Dr. Brian Morin and wife, Dr. Jacqueline Morin of Waterville, and Gary Morin and wife, Shelly Morin of Georgia.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. at St. Matthews Catholic church in Limerick. Services will conclude with U.S. Army funeral honors. Burial will be at a later date.
