Thelma A. Richards

BUXTON – Thelma A. Richards, 88, of Buxton died on Sunday, March 5, 2023. She was born in Buxton, daughter of Carl W. Harriman and Betty M. (Garland) Harriman. She graduated with the class of 1952 from Samuel D. Hanson High School which was at Buxton Center.

Mrs. Richards was a homemaker and member of the Free Baptist Church of South Limington and Willing Workers.

She enjoyed her sons along with their wives, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, as well as many friends, and relatives. Also, she enjoyed cooking, making crafts, her perennial and vegetable gardens, and helping sometimes at the Frugal Farmers of Buxton, alongside many family members, and friends.

Predeceased by her husband of 48 years Robert W. Richards, who died in 2001. Also, predeceased by two brothers, Carl (Richard) Harriman, Robert (Bob) Harriman and her beloved sister, Carol Roubo.

Surviving are her four sons, William R of Waterboro, Bruce M of Buxton, David S of Limerick, and Daniel G. of Buxton.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at the South Buxton Cemetery at Tory Hill in the Woodman section. Thelma has asked for no flowers.
