Button Society show
The Maine State Button Society’s annual button show and sale, with the theme of “Shining a Light on Buttons,” takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 1 at St. Hyacinth Church, 268 Brown St. Admission is free and lobster and chicken rolls will be available to buy.
Marilyn Foster of Westbrook, treasurer of Maine State Button Society, said in a press release that collectors and dealers “from all over” will be displaying and selling their buttons. Raffles will also be held every half hour.

The American Journal reported on March 21, 1973, that Rep. Larry Simpson of Standish was to address the Westbrook Women’s Republican Club.
