Concerts at Dundee Park

The parks and recreation department’s concert series at Dundee Park continues with Maine bluegrass band The World Famous Grassholes from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 24.

Then with Andi Fawcett and Doubting Gravity perform pop, folk and rock ‘n’ roll July 31. The last concert is set for Aug. 7, a reschedule of the 80s Ladies tribute band Girls Just Want to Have Fun. Admission to the park is free after 5 p.m. and concessions are provided by the Lions Club and Scout Pack 805.

Scholarship supper

The Don Rogers Scholarship Bean Supper will be held on Saturday, July 20, starting at 5 p.m. at the Windham Veterans Center at 35 Veterans Memorial Drive.

The meal is $15 per person, but children under age 12 are free. The Auxiliary Unit of Post 148 will also host a homemade pie auction to benefit the scholarship.

The Don Rogers Scholarship is awarded to Windham students on an annual basis to one male and one female graduating senior. Rogers was a commander of the American Legion Field-Allen Post who died in 2020 at age 94.

Tour the past

The Windham Historical Society’s Village Green will be open for tours on Saturday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come explore some of Windham’s most iconic historic buildings and learn about the town’s past and what’s in store for the village in the future. Cancer support

The Windham Cancer Support Group is hosting two meetings this month. The first is a Caregiver Only meeting that will take place on July 23. The regular meeting of the organization will be held on July 30. Both meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Windham Public Library, 217 Windham Center Road.
