Cemetery volunteers
Gorham is seeking citizen volunteers for the town’s Cemetery Advisory Committee. Applications will be accepted until March 27.
“The committee has been created for the purpose of encouraging citizen involvement in maintaining, documenting and preserving Gorham’s local public cemeteries,” the town wrote in an announcement online.
The committee will consist of seven members appointed by the Town Council for staggering terms and will be advisory in nature.
Those interested in applying to serve on the Cemetery Advisory Board Committee, or for more information, should visit the Town Clerk’s Office.

Open space survey
The town is developing an open space and trails master plan and seeks input from residents by April.
Maps and surveys are available in the Planning Office at the Municipal Center, 75 South St.; Baxter Memorial Library, 71 South St.; North Gorham Public Library, 2 Standish Neck Road; and Little Falls Activity Center, 40 Acorn St.
The town and a consultant will take the information and deliver it to the Open Space and Trails Steering Committee and the public to develop priorities for adoption.
Repair Fair
Baxter Memorial Library, 71 South St., is hosting a Repair Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 22.
The library is inviting community members to bring broken or damaged items to learn how to fix them from handy volunteers. Broken items could include lamps, furniture, jewelry, small appliances, bicycles or even clothing.
