What are Americans doing?
I don’t pretend to be an expert in any kind of political science. I’ve always been proud of my country in that it represents what is good and right. Why are the Democrats biding time as Donald Trump ruins our nation as no other modern president has before him? Why doesn’t the Democratic National Committee send them out to rallies across our nation, or have them create virtual rallies that helped Kamala Harris in our last election?
Donald Trump is campaigning all the time with his lies and twisted ideas as to how he is going to make our nation “great again.” It is obvious that if we wait until the normal political season, it will be too late; again.
Donald Trump is an expert showman and grifter. He makes P.T. Barnum look like Charlie Brown. If we continue to act like politicians, he will crush all our values. He will crush what we are as a nation. Why not start off with a new slogan: MAAA. MAAA simply means “Make America America Again.” Place it on hats and have this slogan be known across our nation.
I am a grandparent of two beautiful grandchildren. I fear for their future.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
