Volunteers needed

The town of Buxton has several openings for numerous committees, commissions and parks.

Vacancies include those of the Saco River Cable Commission, Saco River Community Media, Saco River Corridor Commission, Berry Memorial Library, Bonny Eagle Park, Carroll Park, Estes Park, Pleasant Point Park and the Comprehensive Plan Committee.

Join Santa in parade

Registrations for units, individuals and businesses interested in participating in the annual Community Day Parade on Aug. 9 at Tory Hill are being accepted.

The parade theme is “Dashing Through the Heat: Christmas in August.”
