Open space survey

The town has launched an online survey to receive public input until April about its Open Space and Trails Master Plan.

Maps and surveys will be available at the Planning Department Office in the Municipal Center, 75 South St.; Little Falls Activity Center, 40 Acorn St.; Baxter Memorial Library, 71 South St.; and North Gorham Public Library, 2 Standish Neck Road; or online.

Repair Fair at BML

Baxter Memorial Library, 71 South St., is hosting a Repair Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 22.

The library is inviting those with broken or damaged items to take them and learn how to fix them from handy volunteers. Broken items could include lamps, furniture, jewelry, small appliances, bicycles or clothing.

Donate kids clothes

The free Mission of Hope Clothes Closet at Cressey Road Christian Church, 81 Cressey Road, needs children’s clothes.

The closet is seeking donations of “gently used, clean,” clothing for children to fill a need in the community.

The American Journal reported on March 26, 1975, that Gorham High School would meet Messalonskee on Classroom Quiz on April 4 on Channel 8. The Gorham team was John Sawyer, Sharon Golden and Robert Small.
