WESTBROOK – Peter O’Gara passed away March 29, 2026. He was born Jan. 11, 1959. Raised in Westbrook by the late Robert and Cecile O’Gara, Peter spent most of his young life with his aunts in Prouts Neck leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
The best days of his life he reported to his girls were spent with his family and out on the ocean! He bragged about his best day lobstering a memory he had till the day he died.
Peter was his happiest, sitting in his yard with his dog Bella with the fire pit going and all the flowers in full bloom.
He leaves behind his best friend and number 1 Companion his dog Bella; two daughters, Jean Reed and husband Kevin Adkins of Damariscotta and Tracy Ogara of Westbrook; two beautiful granddaughters who brought out the best of him, Abby and Hollis; sister Susan, brothers John, David and Mark.
At Peter’s request, there will be no funeral service. His only request is that you don’t wait to be screened for cancer!
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt condolences to Maine health oncology and Southern Maine hospice care for their kind words and patience’s the last few weeks.
