Falmouth restaurant and event venue Old Smith Farm is on track to reopen next month under new ownership and management.

“Old Smith Farm has always been a special place for the Falmouth community, and as someone who lives and raises a family here, it means a great deal to be part of giving it new life,” said co-
owner Jill Moses in a press release.“Our goal is to honor what people have loved about this property while creating something fresh, welcoming, and vibrant for all guests.”

Moses, whose experience as a restaurateur includes $3 Deweys and Saltwater Grille in South Portland, is heading up the new ownership team with real estate professional Frank Curran of Harborview Properties.

Chef Nate Feld will run the kitchen at Old Smith Farm, emphasizing farm-to-table cuisine and artisanal pizzas. Feld previously cooked at Twelve. Rachel Sagiroglu, founder of the travel and event planning company Experience Maine, is partnering with the farm to handle event programming.

Moses said the venue will also feature a full bar program with craft cocktails and an extensive wine list, as well as live music. The property will continue to serve as a scenic destination for private events.

Previous owner Molly Ritzo oversaw the seasonal property since 2018. The barn had been used as a restaurant at least as far back as the 1960s.

Moses expects to relaunch Old Smith Farm in early May.
