Jacqueline M. (Parent) Cote
SACO – Jacqueline M. (Parent) Cote passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 10, 2026. She was born in Biddeford on Aug. 3, 1933, the fourth of five daughters born to Raymond and Jeanette (Lachance) Parent.
On Nov. 10, 1951, Jackie married Sheldon R. Cote and they moved to Wilmington, Del. to begin their life together and started their family. In 1959 they returned to Biddeford where they remained. Jackie was a wonderfully caring woman who loved her children and family unconditionally.
Since childhood she loved going to the movies and reading. She had a great sense of humor and wit, which came out when telling stories about her life and adventures. She traveled often to Quebec, Montreal, Massachusetts, Florida, and Georgia to visit her sisters and family. Her greatest travel adventures were trips to Italy and Istanbul with her sister, Claudette.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Sheldon Jr. “Ricky”, daughters Elaine and Lisa Ann; sisters Theresa Gagnon, Lorraine Woodworth, Dorothy Neault, and Claudette Paras.
Jackie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Donna and David Watson of Georgia and Jennifer and Michael Ackley of Maine; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at The Wardwell and Northern Light Home Care and Hospice for their friendship, care, and compassion allowing Jackie to stay in the comfort of her residents until her death.
A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 5, 11 a.m. at St Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
