With a crowded and incredibly important election this year, county-level offices don’t get the attention they deserve. They can be just as important to our community.
Valerie Adams is running for Cumberland County district attorney, and she’s exactly the kind of get-stuff-done progressive we need in that office.
Adams began her career as an immigration attorney defending asylum seekers, has been an assistant district attorney and today represents low-income people who can’t afford a lawyer. She’s a reform-minded progressive who can help to make sure that there is real justice in our criminal defense system.
In addition to her incredible legal experience, Adams also has a master’s degree in policy, planning and management from the Muskie School of Public Policy.
I hope that voters will join me in supporting Adams on June 9 in the Democratic primary for district attorney.
