The University of Southern Maine will host three information sessions for its post-graduate teacher preparation program, the Extended Teacher Education Program.

Faculty, current students, a graduate admissions representative and an adviser will all be present at each information session. Participants will receive a packet of materials about the teaching program and information on graduate admissions and financial aid.

These sessions are designed for those who are considering a post-graduate teaching degree. The Extended Teacher Education Program is nationally known and combines a year-long internship in the classroom with the pedagogical course work required for Maine state teaching certification.

The information sessions will be held at the following dates and times. No registration is required:

• Tuesday, 6-7:30 p.m., Room 10, Bailey Hall, Gorham campus.

• Wednesday, 6:45-8:15 p.m., Room 211, Payson Smith Hall Portland campus

• Wednesday, Oct. 22, 6-7:30 p.m., Kennebunk Elementary School
